This blog is about many things, but it will primarily focus on creating a more informed, action-oriented citizenry by shedding light on three subjects:
- The corrupt, rotten system of US politics, how government operates in such a system, and the sleazy corporate ownership of both, and the ways in which these entities are not being held accountable for the massive malfeasance being perpetrated on the citizenry of this country.
- The Mainstream Media (hereafter referred to as “MSM”), and its complicity and duplicity in perpetuating the status quo by failing to do its job, perpetuating propaganda, and actively distorting truth and distracting citizens by not reporting on important issues. This also encapsulates their mob-like reporting of trivial, personality-based distractions (think stuff like Paris Hilton, Jeremiah Wright) which serve no useful purpose except to distract the public away from other vital issues.
- Commentary on citizen actions, reactions, apathy, movements, and other grassroots issues designed to help readers become active participants in taking back your government and your country, mixed in with a heaping dose of snark, fact-based pragmatism, and dark humor.
This is NOT an ideological blog designed to simply echo and amplify the latest talking points from EITHER the right or left. This blog is about putting the problems and issues that aren’t being discussed enough by the media or politicians under a bright light, examining those issues using common sense, and helping average folks like you and me discuss these things intelligently, vs swallowing the sound-bite bilge of our corporate-owned MSM.
I welcome and encourage all comments, feedback, and discussion. I’m interested in lively, fact-based, on-topic discussions, debates, and ideas. I have but one simple caveat: All comments which are personal in nature and designed to label, demean, or humiliate me or any commenter or contributor will be deleted on sight, no questions asked. If you can’t discuss issues without resorting to these tactics, you will not be welcome here.
I will participate in the comments section as much as possible, but please realize I will not have the luxury of responding to every comment, or always doing so in a timely manner. I will respond when I feel it adds to the discussion or to create better clarification or understanding.
Above all else, let’s both get smarter, more aware of what is going on, and what we need to do as citizens to take back our government and our country after having read and participated here.
